Minister Sharma urges local governments to focus on income-generation

Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Tulsipur (Dang), Aug 16: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, has said the local governments should pay an attention to the promotion of income-generating activities.

During her visit to the Lamahi-based Biological Diversity Park in Dang today, the Minister advised the local governments to focus on enhancing their internal sources of income so that they could minimise their dependency on province and the federal government for fiscal management.

She pressed an idea of developing the park as a touristic site and an educational site for students as well. It is said the park is operated by the Ajammari Community Forest Users’ Group.
