RSP registers resolution proposal for dengue prevention and control

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) today registered resolution proposal in the federal parliament, calling for timely precaution for prevention and control of dengue as well as treatment of those infected ones.

Parliamentarian from the party Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, through the resolution proposal, demanded with the government to take preventive measures against the viral infection before the monsoon starts, informed Santosh Pariyar, whip of RSP.

Stating that dengue was spread across all 77 districts and altogether 28,109 people were infected with it while 38 succumbed to the infection transmitted to human through mosquito bite last year, RSP demanded timely prevention of the infection as monsoon was due in few days. “It is necessary for the parliament to issue directives to make government responsible and take the lead for timely prevention and control of this communicable disease and to treat the infected ones,” the resolution proposal read.

The government is also asked to issue directive to mobilize public health inspectors all over the country for dengue prevention and awareness drive.

Capacity enhancement of hospital to treat the infected ones is equally imperative besides encouraging the private sector to mobilize their resources through the corporate social responsibility, the party reminded.
